Tips for Selling a Large Diamond

If you are selling a large diamond you may already be familiar with the four “C’s” of rating a diamond; carat, clarity, color and cut. But unless you are an experienced appraiser you are probably wondering exactly how your diamond should be rated?… and what to do next in order to safely and securely sell your diamond for the best price.

Here are some things to consider:

    • Obtain a GIA (Gemological Institute of America) report for your diamond. This is highly recommended. GIA is a non-profit gemological laboratory and offers grading certification for a reasonable prices.
    • Get a free appraisal of your diamond from Revere Jewels using secure and insured shipping. Always get an appraisal from a trusted and accredited buyer.
    • No diamond is too big. If you wish to sell a diamond so large and/or valuable that you do not wish to ship it… we will come to you. A certified specialist from Revere Jewels will fly to your location to appraise your diamond in person.

GIA reports represent the highest standard of reliability, consistency and integrity. GIA Report Check is available for all GIA reports, providing you with an additional level of assurance. With Report Check, you can quickly and conveniently confirm that the information on your report matches what is archived in the GIA report database.
